Pink Pokemon tend to be rarer and are usually seen as Fairy-types, although some can be Normal too. Many pink Pokemon have distinctly feminine and cutesy designs, but they are still fearsome in their own right. From the wannabe-pop-icon Jigglypuff to the Mythical and mysterious Mew, here are some of the most iconic pink Pokemon.

10 Stufful

Introduced in Generation VII, Stufful resembles an adorable cuddly animal version of the red panda. It is pink and white with brown legs, and around its puffy tail is a small white appendage that resembles the tags seen on soft toys. But don’t be fooled! This dual Normal-Fighting type can pack a serious punch, especially if threatened.

Despite its cute appearance, small size, and apparent docility, Stufful is also known as the Flailing Pokemon. It may be tempting to hug Stufful, but it will randomly flail its powerful limbs if touched. According to the Pokedex, its flailing is strong enough to snap thick tree trunks in half and has been compared to the strength of a pro wrestler!

9 Skitty

Feline Pokemon are always popular as they make great and lovable companions, and Skitty is no exception. This pampered pink puss was introduced in Generation III and can be evolved into Delcatty by using the Moon Stone.

Skitty has a round, stumpy body with four short legs. They have tufted ears with purple interiors and adorable slanted eyes with a cheeky facial expression. As their name implies, they are skittish, and it can be hard to gain their trust.

8 Slowpoke

Slowpoke is an iconic pink dual-type Water/Psychic Pokemon introduced in Generation I. This notoriously slow Pokemon constantly has a vacant expression across its face, with two eyes that never seem focused on the task at hand. Its derpy expression and lazy personality makes it one of the cutest Pokémon.

Slowpoke notoriously have slow reaction times. Despite the fact it uses its tail to lure in bait, it can take over a day to process the fact it has caught something. Famously known as the Dopey Pokemon, it is ironic to see that Slowpoke have the potential to evolve into Slowking, one of the most intelligent Pokemon in the lore.

7 Impidimp

Breaking the cute and feminine stereotypes of the other pink Pokemon, Impidimp comes across as more fearsome rather than cuddly. They were introduced in Generation VIII. Impidimp’s color scheme is more of a fuchsia/dark pink instead of the soft pastels typically seen in Fairy-type Pokemon.

Taking notes from their imp heritage, Impidimps are incredibly mischievous. They are known tricksters in the world of Pokemon, as they love to sneak into people’s houses and wreak havoc by stealing things and making life difficult for the occupants.

6 Clefairy

Evolving from the baby Pokemon, Cleffa, Clefairy is a Fairy-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. Despite “fairy” being in its name, Clefairy was originally a Normal-type up until Generation VI. It is a bipedal Pokemon, with its design vaguely resembling a star and a tiny pair of wings on its back. However, Clefairy are incapable of flight, so they instead store energy from the moonlight, which allows them to float.

Clefairy is a recurring character in the original anime and was revealed to be an extraterrestrial Pokemon as a group of Clefairy had crashed their spaceship.

5 Lickitung

The most unique Pokemon on this list is Lickitung. Unlike other pink Pokemon, its visual appearance is more along the lines of obscure as opposed to cute. It is also a Normal-type Pokemon and not a Fairy-type like some of the other entries on this list.

Linkitung is amphibian-like in nature. Its entire visual design revolves around this characterization, with even its tail resembling a tongue-like limb. Akin to a frog or lizard, Lickitung utilizes its tongue to capture prey, mostly Bug-Pokemon. Its tongue measures over 2 meters in length, doubling the size of its body.

4 Chansey

Chansey is a signature staple in every Pokemon game and anime series. Despite its feminine appearance and pink character design, Chansey is a Normal-type Pokemon, and they are always female. Also known as the Egg Pokemon, Chansey’s defining feature is the large egg in her pouch.

In the anime, Chansey is most often seen accompanying Nurse Joy in her healing duties at Pokemon Centres. They are extremely empathetic to the needs of those around them, doing everything within their power to heal and help anyone who needs it.

3 Mew

Generation I was full of iconic pink Pokemon, and another example is Mew. This extremely rare Pokemon is a Psychic-type and falls under the Mythical status. Its background lore in the Pokedex and anime hints that it was the first Pokémon in existence.

Mew’s appearance is deceiving, as despite its innocent cat-like features, it is incredibly powerful. It can copy other Pokemon’s abilities and learn practically every single possible move. It often uses its skills to joke around with Pokemon.

2 Jigglypuff

Jigglypuff is instantly one of the most recognizable pink Pokemon in history, gaining almost an occult following. Jigglypuff has featured in the Super Smash Bros roster and even been in Detective Pikachu starring Ryan Reynolds. Jigglypuff is an adorabley-round pink blob with an expertly-styled quiff and pointed ears.

Jigglypuff has been part of the line-up since Generation I and was a consistent staple in the original anime series. Jigglypuff’s cuteness can be disarming and disguises a dangerous secret. Its famous lullaby instantly sends anyone to sleep, much to this Pokemon’s dismay, as all Jigglypuff wants in life is to be a singer! It is also a prankster, drawing mustaches and goofy expressions on its victims once they have passed out.

1 Mewtwo

No list of pink Pokemon would be complete without mentioning the first legendary Pokemon, the iconic Mewtwo! It is a tall bipedal Pokemon with humanoid features, created from DNA engineering experiments based on the Mythical Pokemon Mew.

Due to being artificially made and forced into being a living weapon, Mewtwo was cold-hearted and solely focused on battle. Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back details Mewtwo’s extraordinary abilities, including its telekinetic powers and telepathy, making it one of the strongest, if not the strongest Pokemon in history.
