RELATED: The Best Fall 2022 Anime & Where To Watch Them

However, from shows like SpyxFamily, Mob Psycho 100, My Hero Academia, and even Bleach all set to make a solid return this season, to the highly anticipated debut of Chainsaw Man, there is a chance that some newer anime of Fall 2022 might fall under the radar of most anime fans. This list has thus highlighted several lesser-known anime of Fall 2022 that fans should be checking out.

6 To Your Eternity (Season 2)

By far the most underrated of all the returning anime this season is To Your Eternity. This anime follows a mysterious life form capable of changing its form into both inanimate objects and animate beings. And as it does, it evolves and gains new senses, becoming more aware of its surroundings.

Unable to die, this entity embarks on various adventures, meeting new people in different places at different times. Each experience teaches it more about what it truly means to be human. The journey for this creature is set to continue this fall, with the second season of To Your Eternity.

5 Ninja Ittoki

Rivaling factions? Ninjas? Ninja Ittoki has a lot going for it when it comes to its premise. The show centers around Ittoki Sakuraba, an ordinary boy and the secret heir to the Iga ninja clan.

Ittoki, however, was unaware of this fact his entire life until an attack by the rivaling Kouga clan made his family reveal the true nature of his heritage to him. Now, Ittoki has to learn to master the art of becoming a ninja worthy of leading his clan, while also trying to maintain his normal life.

4 Do It Yourself!!

Tired of all the non-stop action this season? Want something slow and light-hearted to give your racing heart a rest? Then the relaxing and charming Do It Yourself!! is the answer. This is an anime original, slice-of-life series centered around a group of high school girls attempting to finish DIY tasks by themselves.

Follow Yua, Kouki, and others as they attempt to complete day-to-day projects, but initially struggle and fail miserably at finishing them. This quirky bunch is not giving up easily, however, as they are bent on seeing every task through to its end. Do It Yourself!! is a perfect escape for anime fans tired of all the excitement from this season.

3 Play It Cool, Guys

Serving as a counterpart to the all-female-led Do It Yourself!!, anime fans can also dive into Play It Cool, Guys. This series is focused around a bunch of guys bent on playing it cool. Shiki, Ichikura, Futami, and Mima-san are all quite self-aware of their own clumsiness and thus find it best to avoid uncomfortable situations by being cool.

But this also ends up causing problems for them as they are seen as hard to approach. Follow this group on their daily routines and their attempts at coping with all that life has to offer by being cool, leading to some truly comedic and relatable scenarios.

2 The Eminence In Shadow

Though the Isekai genre has been lacking in terms of quality in recent times, fans of the genre can take a breath of fresh air with the release of The Eminence in Shadow. This anime, though having all the tropes of a traditional isekai show, still has enough wit to keep viewers intrigued. The Eminence in Shadow follows a boy named Cid who has an overactive imagination and an obsession to control the world from behind the shadows.

However, he ends up dying when he gets hit by a truck and gets transferred to a new world filled with magic. Once there, he continues to play around with his imagination and recruits members for his fake organization, Shadow Garden, which aims to eradicate a mysterious organization named the Cult of Diabolos. Cid however, is unaware that the story he created is real.

1 Blue Lock

Sports anime do not always resonate with fans but when they do, they are bound to make waves in the community. Rarely enough, Blue Lock is a series that has been trying to make some noise ever since it started airing in October 2022. This soccer-themed show centers around the Japanese Football Association’s obsession to win the World Cup by developing an egoistic striker hungry for scoring goals.

The protagonist Yoichi Isagi along with many other strikers from around the country are then invited to train in the prison-like facility called Blue Lock under the guidance of the eccentric coach Jinpachi Ego. Only one player will be selected to represent Japan’s national team as a striker, while the rest will be banned from entering the team forever.
