Consequently, Contracts 2 players need to pick weapons that will let them take down enemies in silence or pull off headshots from over a mile away, while perhaps also having some heavy weaponry in case they get spotted and need to fight for their lives. Here are some of the best options.
Updated January 27, 2022 by Jack Pursey: One of the main strengths of CI Games’ Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is that players are free to tackle the missions in almost any way that they choose. This freedom of choice is refreshing in the first-person-shooter genre and is supported by the excellent range of weapons that players have at their disposal, letting them adopt numerous different strategies. Some of the game’s weaponry stands out from the rest, so we’ve updated this list to include some more of the best weapons to choose from.
11 TAI HU SR3
TAI HU SR3 is a medium-range sniper rifle that has the lowest recoil in the entire game.
The sniper’s main drawback is that it’s very loud and will alert nearby enemies, so it’s best to use it from as long of a distance as possible and only for taking down an individual enemy who has been drawn out of position. If other enemies are alerted, however, the sniper’s low recoil will make it easy for players to take them out.
10 JIC 7.62
On the flip side of the TAI HU SR3 is the JIC 7.62. This light sniper rifle is quiet, mobile, and stable, making it ideal for the game’s smaller maps. The sniper’s damage is on the low side, so headshots are a necessity. That shouldn’t be an issue though, as the sniper is ideal for players who want to remain undetected, so most enemies won’t be rushing behind cover.

Unfortunately, the gun has low ammo capacity, which is a pain for taking out large groups. Therefore, players should ensure that they purchase the extended mags and have a reliable secondary weapon in case the sniper’s ammo is depleted.
9 Giovanni M8
Ideally, players will never need to use this shotgun. It goes against the core principles of Contracts 2’s long-range sniping and stealth gameplay, with its minimal range and loud gunfire that will alert all nearby enemies.
However, the shotgun makes this list as it can be perfect for an emergency. For most people, the toughest sections in Contracts 2 are when the player has to traverse a heavily guarded building indoors. If the player gets spotted inside one of these buildings, their long-range sniper becomes virtually useless, and their silenced pistol will only get them so far. This makes the Giovanni M8 a reassuring backup to have as it can blast players out of a potentially fatal situation.
8 KSG GK77
One unflattering stat that will immediately stand out about the KSG GK77 is its relatively low damage. Granted, the lack of damage is an issue, and it makes body shots redundant. However, the gun can still deliver one-shot kill headshots. Furthermore, it is almost completely silent when fitted with the silencer.
Players should look to unlock the next entry on this list as soon as it’s financially viable. However, the KSG GK77 is still a great starting weapon that can silently take down many enemies with good accuracy.
7 Harrier
On the complete other end of the spectrum to the KSG GK77 is the Harrier. This Heavy Pistol has incredible damage, which makes it a fantastic option for close-quarters battles in Contracts 2.

Moreover, it may seem that the heavy-hitting weapon makes a ton of noise due to its damage, but the gun can be equipped with a silencer. This combination of power and stealth makes the Harrier a vital weapon to bring on missions. Players should purchase it as soon as possible if they are looking to use sidearms frequently.
6 MIK-05
As mentioned before, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a game that predominantly rewards stealth over the explosive combat that is common in shooters like the Call of Duty or DOOM series. Consequently, Assault Rifles are inherently regarded as a poor decision when picking a loadout in this game, due to their limited range and loud gunfire.
However, the MIK-05 provides a great option for anyone desperate to give an Assault Rifle a try in the latest Sniper Ghost Warrior release. The gun checks all the boxes with great Damage, Mobility, and Ammo Capacity. Players can even fit it with a silencer to eliminate any sound issues it might cause.
5 RAM-BOW
Raven may have a wide range of high-tech equipment and weapons at his disposal, but sometimes, it’s best to use a good old-fashioned bow and arrow. Not only does the game’s bow and arrow deliver one-shot kills, but it’s also completely silent, letting players take down multiple enemies undetected. Unfortunately, the amount of enemies that players can kill is limited. Raven doesn’t carry too many arrows, and there aren’t many spare ones to find across Contracts 2’s five open-world maps.

The bow’s title is, of course, a reference to the action film series Rambo. Furthermore, the bow has an inscription that quotes the first Rambo film First Blood that reads, “You’re not hunting him… He’s hunting you - 1982.”
4 RIIHIMAKI M10
Light Sniper Rifle RIIHIMAKI M10 has three standout features: its Mobility, its Stability, and its Ammo Capacity. These factors make the sniper a fantastic option for the game’s Classic Contracts. Players can pick off numerous enemies undetected without having to worry about ammo if they land most of their shots.
Alternatively, if players themselves in a spot where they need a bit of extra firepower, then they can switch to the gun’s Explosive ammo.
3 LSSR MYSH 2
LSSR MYSH 2 is another excellent option for players who want to use a Light Sniper Rifle in their gamplay. The gun has a fairly lackluster offering of Special Ammo. However, its incredible fire rate makes up for it, letting players wipe out a group of enemies before they can ring an alarm.

The gun’s recoil can be one of its more frustrating drawbacks. Fortunately, most players will become accustomed to it and be able to suitably adjust after shots.
2 MSSR 10
The MSSR 10 is a Medium Sniper Rifle that is ideally suited to Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, thanks to its maxed-out Noise Reduction. The sniper does fall short in the stability category, but it makes up for it with its impressive damage for a Medium Sniper Rifle.
MSSR 10 is fantastic for infiltrating enemy bases, thanks to the options of Luring and EMP ammo. Finally, the gun joins the RIIHIMAKI M10 in offering Armor Piercing ammo. This makes it perfect for taking down the game’s heavy units.
1 UK 50
The UK 50 is a Heavy Sniper Rifle that will assist the player in landing some of the game’s longest shots during Long Shot Contracts. The gun’s low fire rate is unfortunate; however, its upgradable scope and devastating damage make it a perfect choice for taking down long-ranged targets when only one shot is required.
Furthermore, the gun possesses the ability to fire Luring, EMP, and Explosive bullets. This makes it a fantastic choice for taking down high-profile targets who are constantly on the move or inside of buildings.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is out now for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
